Mae Boon’s life followed the tragic path of so many captive elephants before her. First she worked in the logging industry hauling logs in the forest then into the tourist industry.
Since the support of Trunks Up foster parents Mae Boon has become much more social and loves to forage and play with her new friends Mae Loy Sa & Lum Yai. She is very sensitive to noise and has to be comforted by her mahout when the food truck arrives or any other loud noises.
Mae Boon is finally starting to enjoy her freedom to play in the mud, frolic in the river with her friends.
