OVERVIEW
In May 2024, the Trunks Up community launched the Future Roams Free campaign to help fund the development of a newly protected land extension near Elephant Nature Park. Led by renowned conservationist Lek Chailert, this expansion marks an important milestone in creating a future where rescued elephants can live with greater freedom, safety, and dignity.
With the perimeter fencing now complete, the land has been secured as a safe and protected sanctuary, laying the foundation for future habitat development. As restoration continues, this expanded landscape will provide elephants with more room to roam, forage, socialize, and express the natural behaviors that are essential to their physical and emotional wellbeing.

IMPACT
Through the support of the Trunks Up community, new sanctuary land has been secured and the perimeter fencing completed, establishing the foundation for a significant expansion of protected elephant habitat adjacent to Elephant Nature Park.
