At 37 years old, Kham Suk began a new chapter on July 3, when she was rescued to Elephant Sanctuary Laos after decades of carrying tourists and living a life defined by hard work and restraint.
Now under the care of Save Elephant Foundation, Kham Suk is discovering what it means to live in sanctuary. With the freedom to make her own choices, explore her surroundings, and simply be an elephant, she is beginning her healing journey one day at a time.
Kham Suk now shares her forever home with her sister, Boon Hom who has been at the sanctuary since 2018. While their journey together is still unfolding, they have the time and space to reconnect naturally, surrounded by the safety and compassion of sanctuary.
