Lily

Born 1961 | Female | Elephant Nature Park

FOSTER ME

Lily is a 65-year-old elephant who has spent her entire life in service to humans. Taken from her homeland in the north, she was moved across Thailand over the decades, from logging camps to tourism, working without rest for more than half a century.

Her body tells the story she cannot. Deep scars mark her trunk, heavy wounds line her shoulders, and part of her trunk was severed in an accident she was forced to endure while still working. Today, Lily is elderly and in urgent need of care. She has lost her teeth, struggles to eat, her vision is fading, and her body is weak from years of labor.

Lily has now safely arrived at Elephant Nature Park and has begun her quarantine period. During this time, she will stay in a quiet shelter, receiving close monitoring and gentle care as she adjusts to her new surroundings.

After a lifetime of hardship, Lily is finally safe. This is the beginning of her journey to rest, recovery, and a life surrounded by compassion.
